H-Town kids from Nairobi’s Huruma slums are the latest sensation capturing the attention of international celebrities right from their humble Kenyan neighbourhood.

The Huruma Town Kids have scored arduous odds to highlight Kenya as a talent hub despite coming from one of the most populated neighbourhoods of Nairobi.

Just recently they mimicked CNN’s Larry Madowo’s reporting with a professional touch speaking of their untapped talent which they are keen on exploiting.

They re-enacted every part of Madowo’s tourism report where he interviewed Tourism Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala.

The CNN reporter also took a helicopter tour to the Amboseli for the Kenya Wildlife national census which the quartet beautifully re-enacted.

In their show, the children mimicked a hippo strolling nearby just like in Madowo’s actual report.

They also crafted ingenious antics of a giraffe and flamingos at Lake Nakuru.

Thrilled, Madowo in a post on his Instagram page wrote: “These @hurumatown80 kids have done it again! This is the coolest thing to ever happen to any story I’ve ever done.

Huruma Town Kids creativity is not limited. A few weeks back, they re-made a scene of the popular TV crime thriller ‘Money Heist’. They have also re-enacted other scenes from Coming To America and other international acts.

Back home, the H-Town Kids have recreated photos of celebrities.

Rose Mwaura, the brains behind H-Town Kids production told the Nairobian that the group was created in 2019 during the August school holidays.

“We started with one kid, but so far, we have 23 members… Mostly, we bring on board kids aged between five and 15 years. They must have the passion to either act, dance or do acrobatics,” she said.

Rose has been using her money to buy props for the act and records the skits using her phone and then edits it.
